It has been almost 7 months that COVID 19 pandemic has forced facilities like ours to shut our doors and prohibit visitors from coming to our facility. Its been very difficult and challenging for everyone. Thank you very much for your understanding and patience as we continue to do our best to protect our residents’ health and well-being. Thanks to our staff (our modern-day heroes) who courageously come to work and provide services to our residents every day in spite of the risks that they are faced with after all they have families and loved ones that they need to protect from COVID19, too.We have remained COVID19 free thanks to our staff following CDC guidelines in the prevention of the spread of COVID19. And thanks to you for making sure that you follow CDC guidelines in wearing masks and observing social distancing when doing outdoor visitations. Thank you for helping us protect your loved ones. When visiting, please do not hand anything to your loved one without checking in with our staff. Our staff will make sure that the item will be sanitized first before they are handed to your loved one. We would like to request that number of visitors be limited to 3 and should belong to the same household. These extra precautions are for your loved ones protection and yours too. Remember, if you are unable to visit physically, face-time meetings are still available. For first time visitors, call our facility to schedule for a visit. Visits are limited to 15 minutes each visit in order to give chance to the other families to be able visit their loved one, too. On the day of your visit, make sure to Log in and answer the covid19 monitoring questions. Your temperature will be checked. If your temperature is 99 F and above, your visitation schedule will be cancelled and you will be requested to go home. Once cleared by the staff, you will be instructed to proceed to the patio facing C St. where your loved one will be waiting for you. A nursing staff will be standing by throughout the visit for safety purposes. Nursing staff will be sitting a few feet away to provide privacy. If you have any of these symptoms of COVID 19 such as fever, sore throat, fatigue, loss of sense of smell and or taste, diarrhea, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough, muscle or body aches, nausea or vomiting, please cancel your visit and see your doctor. These procedures are strictly observed to prevent COVID19 from infecting our residents and staff. All our staff are tested for COVID19 every week. Staff are continuously trained in the strict adherence of infection control and preventions policies and procedures and the CDC guidelines as well. Thank you for your continuous support and prayers as we continue face these daunting challenges ahead. Our community, especially where Maywood Acres Healthcare is located has the highest number in COVID19 positive cases in the county. So, let’s remain vigilant and not let our guards down.
